Introduction To Micronutrients

Micronutrients are nutrients required in relatively small amounts to support normal health and body functions. Micronutrients include vitamins and minerals.

Vitamins are required for:

  • Building and maintaining healthy muscle and bone tissue
  • Supporting the immune system
  • Maintaining the health of blood
  • Releasing and utilising energy found in carbohydrates, fats, and protein

Minerals are required for:

  • Assisting in fluid regulation and energy production
  • The health of our blood and bones
  • Ridding the body of harmful by-products of metabolism
