    Writing a Business Plan

This course is registered with the Management Capability Development Voucher Fund. Find out more by visiting www.regionalbusinesspartners.co.nz

This course is for anyone who wants to create their own Business Plan.

There are many reasons for creating a Business Plan, with the main two being:

    1. To find out what’s involved in creating and then managing a business around a Business Model, and then
    2. To make the case for investment in your Business Model.

Don’t Think, Check!® Limited deviates from the classical advice that recommends creating a Business Plan as one of the first steps an aspiring business person or an existing business person should perform. Instead, we recommend (in most cases) that ahead of creating a Business Plan, you should first create a Business Model. Put another way, in the absence of a Business Model, what is the Business Plan going to be about?

This one-to-one training course will lead you through the steps required for you to write your own Business Plan. This course follows the ebook Writing a Business Plan – A Template and Handbook, by Glyn Davies, and everyone enrolled in the course will receive a complimentary copy of the latest version of the ebook.

    Topics include:

    • The opportunity
    • Critical success factors
    • The Business Model
    • Industry structural analysis
    • Strategy
    • Resources
    • Financial analysis and planning

At the end of the course, you will have a clear understanding of your business proposal in the form of a Business Plan, its likely viability, and if you desire, armed with your Business Plan you will confidently be able to request investment in your Business Model.

Note: This course assumes you have prior business knowledge and a Business Model. Please contact Glyn to discuss the course’s suitability and if any prior course-preparation is required.

Standard duration: 4 workshops of 4 hours each, plus 2 hours post-workshop remote support. Structure and content can be tailored to suit your specific needs.

Cost: $4,500 excluding GST, travel, and other costs.

Creating or Re-creating Your Business Model

This course is registered with the Management Capability Development Voucher Fund. Find out more by visiting www.regionalbusinesspartners.co.nz

    Service Overview:

A business is nothing without a viable and sustainable Business Model – your wealth-creating system.

Learn what is involved to create or re-create your Business Model.

    Service Description:

This course is for anyone who either wants to create their first or to refresh their existing Business Model.

A Business Model is a description and a system by which a business creates value (wealth) for itself while delivering value (benefits) in the form of a Distinctive Value Proposition to customers. Another way of describing a Business Model is to call it a money-making or value-exchanging machine; how is value going to be made and by whom?

The importance of the Business Model is profound. If you do not have a viable and sustainable system by which to create value for your business while delivering Distinctive Value Propositions that customers want to pay for, you will not have a business for long.

This one-to-one training course will lead you through the seven factors for success that are the foundation of every business model. This course follows The 1-Page Business Model, by Glyn Davies, which in turn is based on the ebook Starting a Business – With Facts, Not Faith, also by Glyn Davies.

Everyone enrolled in the course will receive complimentary copies of the latest eBooks The 1-Page Business Model and Handbook and Starting a Business – With Facts, Not Faith.

At the end of the course, you will be able to identify the seven foundational factors for success that make up every Business Model, you will be able to discuss each factor’s importance, and you will have the knowledge and confidence to create and modify your own Business Models.

Note: This course does not assume that you have prior business knowledge.

Duration: 2 workshops of 4 hours each, plus 2 hours post-workshop remote support.

Cost: $1,950 Excluding GST, travel, and other costs.
